gravostar technologies is further strengthening the offer and its position as the technology leader for component marking inside the CNC machine tool.
The product release, QP-20 is a targeted development for deeper marking of components and is ideal for using on surfaces which are coated or painted after machining – or for parts used in harsh environments like mining or oil & gas applications where the marking must be visible even after long use.
This robust tool can be used in a broad range of applications for most metallic materials. The unique mechanism inside the tool body enables setting of the force of the special needle design used to generate the marking and thus regulates the marking depth. While the machine tool spindle rotates, the tool is simultaneously scratching the surface, and the marking is generated.
QP-20 is very productive and produces excellent results down to marking depths of 0.8 mm but is also efficient when shallow marking depths are sufficient. The QP-20 will compensate for geometry deviations up to 6 mm, which makes it very flexible and can be used even for marking on cast or forged surfaces.
Extensive testing has proven excellent results, and we are convinced that the solution will bring high value to users.
